Tips For Moving Equipment or Working Near Power Lines
-
Stay 7 metres away from power lines
When operating grain augers, air seeders, dump trucks or other equipment, stay at least seven metres (23 feet) away from the line. If you must work closer, please call us.
-
Plan before moving a large load
Map your route, locate overhead power lines and be sure that you can cross safely under them. Be especially cautious if equipment is over 4.1 metres.
-
Never measure line heights or raise lines yourself
We’re happy to do that for you with the proper equipment and safety measures. Don't put yourself at risk.
